Yes, Pompey Poems was created by Michael Jon Ward, founder of Southsea Vibe. Inspired by Portsmouth’s landmarks and wildlife, he wanted to bring the local area to life through fun stories and imaginative characters. The book also reflects feedback from local schools, helping make it an engaging read for the community!

Sea swimming at Southsea Beach is lots of fun for all the family, however you should always assess the weather and tides. During peak periods (June to September) Southsea Beach has lifeguards stationed at either side of South Parade Pier. Only competent swimmers should venture out far, always stay safe on the beach, and respect the sea.
There is no shortage of fun for kids in Southsea. You’ve got beach days, local landmarks, activity centres, parks, indoor and outdoor attractions (some paid, some free). Simply head down to the seafront and see for yourself.
