The Pompey Poetry Party is a dynamic spoken word event spotlighting the incredible talent and diverse voices of Portsmouth’s poetry scene. Hosted monthly at The Hideaway in Southsea, it’s a chance to experience powerful performances that range from personal storytelling to thought-provoking takes on social issues.

With a mix of featured artists and open mic slots, it’s an inclusive, supportive environment where all levels can participate. The Party brings together Portsmouth’s poetry enthusiasts, fostering community and connection, while celebrating the transforming power of the spoken word.
