Cancer Research UK’s Race for Life and Pretty Muddy organisers are calling on local volunteers to get involved. Running from 8:30am to 2pm, the events include 3k, 5k and 10k races, as well as the popular Pretty Muddy obstacle course and a kids’ version for younger participants. It’s set to be a fun, energetic weekend raising vital funds for life-saving cancer research.
Volunteers play a key role in making the events a success. Roles include helping on the event site, handing out medals and water, supporting the start line, or acting as course and obstacle marshals – cheering on participants and helping guide them around the course.
