Get ready for one of the brightest nights of the year in Portsmouth as the city’s much-loved firework display returns to Southsea Common. This free event brings together family fun, live music and a spectacular pyrotechnic finale, all in one evening you won’t want to miss.
Expect a funfair-style atmosphere, hot food and refreshments on site, plus live music to keep the energy up before the fireworks. The festivities begin at 4 pm, when the site opens for stalls, entertainment and food for visitors of all ages.The big display is scheduled to get underway around 7pm. The event winds up at around 8pm. Check the latest weather and any updates closer to the day, in case of adjustments. With large crowds expected, consider walking, cycling or using public transport rather than trying to find parking nearby. Parking is limited.
